About Us
Going Home Hawaiʻi (GHH) is a Big Island collaborative dedicated to helping justice-involved individuals successfully reintegrate into the community and workforce. GHH is made up of more than 50 public and private organizations and an island-wide network of nearly 500 members.
In addition to its strong presence on Hawaiʻi Island, GHH includes members from across the State of Hawaiʻi and throughout the continental United States who are interested in developing innovative, cost-effective approaches to reducing jail and prison overcrowding while creating meaningful pathways for successful reentry.
GHH brings together service providers, legislators, volunteers, community leaders, and concerned citizens who are committed to building safer, healthier communities. Through collaboration, shared resources, and mutual support, GHH continues to create opportunities for individuals returning from incarceration to become productive, contributing members of society.
It is this spirit of partnership and collective commitment that has made Going Home Hawaiʻi successful and continues to strengthen its impact statewide and beyond.
